This is a clean and well-maintained hotel with free parking and complimentary breakfast. Access to the swimming pool requires an additional fee. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of food options and made-to-order specialty coffee.

Amazing place! We stayed 3 nights after flying from Oslo and we had an amazing time!

I think they have the best breakfast options I had tried so far (comparing with similar hotels in Switzerland)

The only problem was the wind that was so strong and we could not sleep the first night because of the noise coming through the window. However, this is something less to be controlled.

I recommend including phones in the room for service.

This hotel is nice and in a good location. We liked the availability of taxis and the view and access to trails was great. The spa area not being included was disappointing. In addition, it seemed not adequately staffed as there were no towels, there were glasses everywhere, and it was so busy it was difficult to use the sauna. We also rented e- bikes, which were quite expensive, and they weren't properly maintained. We had issues with them squeaking and brakes not working properly.

The Wood Hotel is nearly great, but there are too many flaws which, at the price of this hotel, are a problem. ||The views from the room are spectacular given the hotel's site on top of a hill. I had a deluxe room and had been pre warned that some of those rooms are accessible. That meant that I had a shower, no bath and the shower left the entire bathroom floor wet. The room is fairly bare.||Over the weekend the hotel was very full ( a wedding I think) so there was no availability for dinner in the restaurant and the service in the bar was very slow. This is a problem as the hotel is a 50 minute walk from Bodo itself and the taxi service is very unreliable. There is no hotel shuttle service. ||The outdoor roof pool was full of family groups and groups of female friends over the weekend.||The car park has spaces which are just too small. Instead of having spaces which you can park in comfortably and get out easily, they decided to squeeze in 10 more spaces. ||Bodo is an amazing place and I would thoroughly recommend visiting, but you should approach the Wood Hotel on the basis it is a nice 3/4 star hotel

At the hotel, we felt very comfortable and welcomed. We appreciated the appearance of the facilities; the room was well-maintained, spacious, and clean. Our most memorable experience was at the wellness area, where we enjoyed the Finnish sauna with its exceptional view, as well as relaxing and having a drink on the premises. The staff was exceptionally attentive and always in a good mood. Overall, we experienced excellent relaxation during our stay.

Bevor wir zur Fähre Richtung Lofoten aufgebrochen sind, haben wir hier eine Nacht verbracht – und es war einfach fantastisch! Die Dachterrasse mit Pool, Sauna und Fitnessstudio hat uns richtig begeistert. Besonders schön war, dass jederzeit Kaffee, Tee und Wasser bereitstanden.

Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein besonderes Dankeschön geht an Victor, der auf der Dachterrasse gearbeitet hat. Er war super zuvorkommend, und unsere Gespräche mit ihm waren sehr angenehm und herzlich.

Auch das Frühstück hat uns richtig gut gefallen – vielfältig, lecker und mit viel Auswahl.

Eine kleine Kritik: Das Zimmer war leicht verstaubt, da könnte man noch etwas nachbessern. Abgesehen davon war alles sehr sauber und ordentlich.

Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen!

5/5 My husband and I come to the Wood whenever we are in Bodo. One of the main reasons was highlighted to us again on this stay for my husbands birthday. We had an exceptional meal with no holds barred to provide us with an forgettable evening. As ever Favor, Wilson, Rosten and the team were wonderful and the food was out of the world. Can’t thank them enough - highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

Review of Hotel The Wood Bodø||Unfortunately, my stay at The Wood Bodø was disappointing. The service at the reception was poor, with staff coming across as rude and not service-oriented.||||The rooms were uncomfortably warm, with no air conditioning – only fans were available. The ventilation outlets were dirty, and the fridge/minibar was not clean. There was also hair under the beds.||||The restaurant was overpriced, with small portions and food of poor quality. The coffee was also overpriced and served in very small cups.||||On a positive note, the hotel does offer a beautiful view and a nice spa area.||||Overall, however, The Wood has a lot of improvements to make before it can justify its prices.
