This parking garage is really cool (also the temperature) as it is a kind of man made cave in the rock that is located in the middle of Mandal. The Norwegians sure know how to build tunnels and this might be a sort of spin off: just make a big tunnel in the rock with the entrance and exit on the same side and make parking lots inside. Easy parking, lots of space in the center of the town. On top of the rock is the viewpoint Uranienborg, from were you have a magnificent view over Mandal and the harbor. Coming out of the parking garage through the tunnel for pedestrians, you can directly turn left to take stairs that lead op to the Uranienborg. But is is easier to take the route on the north side (first trough the city and then up on some streets) beacuse this is much less steep. One on top you can then take the path and stairs down which will lead you directly to the pedestrian tunnel that gives access to the parking garage. Final payment is done at the ticked machine at the end of your (parking) stay by entering your license plate (just type in the letters and numbers, do not use spaces and or hyphens as the ticket machine will not recognize these)

In Mandal, you need luck or local knowledge to park for free. This is the easy choice. Super location, always free spaces, and relatively cheap.

Płatny parking ale wykuty w skale. Takiego nigdy nie widziałem , dużo wolnego miejsca więc można zaparkować bez problemu
