We visited Salmon Center Molde during our cruise stop and found it both educational and delicious. The interactive exhibits taught us about salmon biology, aquaculture technology, sustainability practices, and the use of genetics in farming healthy fish. We especially enjoyed learning about the history of salmon sashimi and how Norway introduced raw salmon to sushi in the 1980s. The tasting session was a highlight—the salmon sashimi was fresh and flavorful, and I loved the addition of pomegranate, which added a bright, unexpected twist. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly.

Outside, there was live music playing, adding to the experience with a relaxed, festive vibe. The views of the fjord and mountains were absolutely stunning—what a backdrop! Highly recommend for anyone curious about where their salmon comes from or just looking for a great stop in Molde.

I'm blown away by the incredible experience I had at Salmar's salmon farm! From the birth of the salmon to its harvest, the team took me through the entire process.The 3D glasses they provided gave me a stunning immersive view of the entire operation - it was truly impressive! The speedboat ride to the farms was exhilarating, and the mini tasting at the end was the perfect finale. The whole experience was free. Huge kudos to the team and the owner for creating such an engaging and enjoyable experience. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking it out - you won't be disappointed 👌 👍

Amazing experience to learn about the industry of Salmon. The trip to visit salmon farm on the sea is just excellent. The staffs are super friendly and professional to answer all the questions.

Bei einer geführten Stadtbesichtigung, war der Besuch im Center, inklusive. Leider etwas zu lang. Videovorführung und dann nochmal das Center erklärt. Das Center ist ansonsten sehenswert! Vorallem für Schulklassen, weil man auch auf die Boote gehen kann. Schön war der Abschluss, mit einem kleinen Imbiss. Lachs! Sehr lecker!

Sehr interessant, Lachszucht wird hier super erklärt, es werden auch kostenlose Ausflüge zu einer Lachsfarm mit dem Schnellboot angeboten, nur nicht Montags.

We saw their place right after getting off the cruise, and they were very friendly. They explained the excursion clearly, as well as how the salmon farms work. They even took us for free by boat to see the farms and gave us a small sample of salmon at the end. It’s highly recommended!
