Warning! We booked a car that went broke after 500m. When trying to call and deplace the car they did not answer in 2 hours (!). Another car rental office reached out after 4 hours. So arrogant. Also, they add charges to your bill and hope you do not see them… worst car rental experience ever.

No one was at the desk during the posted hours when returning the vehicle and a sign indicated to use the self-service kiosk instead. So I parked the vehicle in the rental lot and then did the return at the self-serve kiosk. Then several days later I received a notice via email of damage to the vehicle. The email indicated my rental agreement did not cover damage and for me to respond with any questions, which I did, as there was no damage to the vehicle when I dropped it off. I received no response to my reply. The odd thing about all this is that I actually did purchase full coverage for the vehicle, as I always do in a foreign country. I checked my agreement to make certain it was there and it was indeed. So I let the person (Kim was the name on the email) know in my reply that I had purchased full coverage as shown on my attached rental agreement and it was paid for in full. Didn't seem to matter, as three weeks later another charge posted to my credit card from Hertz Norge. I called to enquire about the charge and was told to take it up with my bank.
