I advise you to rent from literally any other company on earth, rather than from this branch of Europcar. Don't be fooled by an apparently good deal on the rental rate, because there's a good chance it will be entirely canceled out by sketchy "damage" fees after returning the vehicle. If you apparently lose your mind and decide to rent with them, take extensive pictures of every single surface of the car, including the interior and the underside. They're currently trying to extort me for nearly $1000 USD because of a missing flake of paint on the underside of the front bumper. Since I didn't climb under the car to take pictures of the underside of the bumper before taking the car, it's a challenge to prove whether or not this "damage" is attributable to me. I would rather rent from Satan himself than from Europcar again. Don't be fooled by them.

This was my first car rental in Norway and after going through the bad reviews of car rental companies I was in two minds whether to go for a rental or not. But Europecar changed my perception.

Reserved through Expedia and got a good rate. Pick up of car was quick and hassle free. Staff member was friendly and helpful. Clear directions were given to find the car at the park. Got a new car with just 14k on the clock. Zero excess insurance can be purchased from them at a reasonable price which brings peace in mind.

Car was dropped off outside office hours and it was just drop off of car key to a mailbox located in office door. Next morning by 8.30 a return statement was e mailed with the remark ‘no new damages recorded, what a relief!.

They keep a deposit of Kr 3000 for road tolls ferries and parking. After 2 days of returning the car, balance was refunded to my account. Fantastic!

Your company exceeded my expectations.

Would have been better if you could provide a detailed statement as to see how charges were deducted for each ferry, each toll road etc.

Was a wonderful experience to use Europcar for our adventure through Norway. Vehicle was clean, ready to go when we arrived and very user friendly with connecting navigation and entertainment to our journey. Would do it again!

It was a normal rental experience until the company made aggressive damage claims on the car.

After returning the vehicle, a representative said they had discovered damages on the vehicle and sent an invoice for over 100 euros. I disputed this charge, which prompted them to increase the charges to over 950 euros. The vehicle was returned in October and I received an invoice for the newly "discovered" damages in January.

The attached images show what the company claims justifies the charges. For my work I routinely rent cars for travel, and in over 6 years of renting vehicles this is the only company that has ever behaved this way.

If you do choose to rent with this company, take note of the attached pictures and be sure to photograph even the undercarriage of the vehicle to protect yourself from claims of damage.

Een veeleisende verhuurder, ik zou een andere kiezen! De auto online regelen was niet moeilijk. Totdat we er achter kwamen dat we een rekening van water, gas of licht moesten laten zien bij het afhalen van de auto, wat wij niet konden omdat we nog bij onze ouders wonen. Ook vroegen ze een afschrift van de bank van onze rekening wat via de post gestuurd moest zijn vanuit de bank zelf. Dingen die totaal onlogisch zijn voor de huur van een auto, aangezien er gewoon borg vooruit betaald moet worden, dat lijkt me voldoende. Daardoor waren we flink duurder uit om op korte termijn nog wat anders te kunnen regelen.
