Good decision that I included this in our itinerary. It was a bit cloudy that day, but still in awe with the view. And the food, it's great. We tried the fried trout and venison meatballs. Hopefully there will be an English translation of the guide. (Glad we can understand a little Swedish). Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful experience at Kjenndalstova! The setting is stunning, right by the lake, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. I tried their cheesecake and waffles — both were absolutely delicious! The cheesecake was creamy and rich, and the waffles were freshly made with just the right texture. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the visit even more enjoyable. A perfect spot for a sweet treat in a breathtaking location. Highly recommended!

We were on the Cunard cruise and walked off the ship to Olden Adventures which had the option of a boat ride around Lake Loen and then a stop to see the glacier. It was definitely the best excursion we experienced in Norway! The bus ride was a bit dramatic with the windy mountains round and our bus driver was patient and very experienced. We then enjoyed a two decker boat ride in the Loen Lake enjoying the guided tour of the history of the area and waters only to be treated at a lovely chalet family run farm to table restaurant of their homemade waffles and berry jam! What a special touch and treat! Then a double decker bus ride to the glacier and a short guided walk to the foot of the glacier! It was raining that day but the expert guide made the cool rainy weather totally bearable and actually enjoyable!! Then back into the boat driven by the captain and head of the family and a short bus ride back to our ships port! What a fantastic excursion and perfect way to enjoy a special community in Norway. Thank you to this family run business for allowing tourists to experience this beautiful country!

Kjenndalstova is a hidden gem by a stunning lake, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. The peaceful atmosphere, calm boats on the water, and incredible scenery make it the perfect place to relax. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. We had the apple pie, brownie, and a cup of coffee — everything was absolutely delicious. A beautiful and memorable stop!

كيندالستوفا جوهرةٌ خفيةٌ على ضفاف بحيرةٍ خلابة، تُحيط بها مناظر جبليةٌ خلابة. أجواءها الهادئة، ومناظرها الخلابة تجعلها المكان الأمثل للاسترخاء. الموظفون لطفاءً للغاية. جربت فطيرة التفاح، براوني مع القهوة - كان كل شيءٍ لذيذًا للغاية. كانت محطةً جميلةً لا تُنسى وتستحق الزباره 👌🏻

En idyllisk plass innerst ved Loenvatnet. God plass inne, men også rikelig med uteplass. Middag med lokale råvarer. Lokalfanget ørret eller lokal hjort, eller geitkjøtt. Alt levert/produsert av skipper på Kjenndalsbåten.
Flott natur rundt hytta. Du kan kjøre inn med bil, sykle eller ta båten inn til hytta. Hytta leier ut sykler. Sykkelturen opp til under breen er ca 5km. Motbakke hele veien men merkes ikke pga flott natur. Du merker det først mår du skal tilbake igjen. Du triller da hele veien tilbake til hytta.
Hytta leier også ut kano og robåter/motorbåter.
Turen inn til hytta et absolutt noe å anbefale. Ta båten så slipper du å stå fast i bilkorken på vei inn/ut pga smale veier.

We visited on an excursion booked via Olden Adventure, we had waffles and drinks before heading to the Glacier. The atmosphere here was so calming.

Båtturen till Kjenndalstova är väldigt fin.
Kan inte betygsätta maten då vi enbart köpte våfflor. Tänk på beställa maten i go tid om du ska med båten tillbaka.
